FundedX vs FunderPro: Which Prop Firm Suits Your Trading Setup?

FundedX and FunderPro are two of the newer instant-funding prop firms. Here is how their rule sets, platforms, and broker bridges compare — and what each means for your VPS choice.

FundedX overview

FundedX (sometimes branded FundedX Pro depending on region) is a relatively new entrant in the prop-firm space focused on instant-funding and accelerated evaluation paths. They offer MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and a proprietary in-browser platform; broker routing varies by region.

Notable rule features: scaled drawdown that follows account high-water mark, weekend hold restrictions on some plan tiers, and no minimum trading days on the instant-funding option (you can withdraw profit as soon as it clears the spread).

FunderPro overview

FunderPro positions as a "true prop" with broker partnerships, real ECN execution, and a transparent fee structure. They offer MetaTrader 5 and cTrader, with broker bridges that typically route through Equinix LD4 (Hantec Markets, Liquidity Connect bridges).

Notable rule features: 5% daily / 10% overall max drawdown, no minimum trading days, weekend holding allowed, and a higher profit split tier (90%) than most challenger-style firms.

Which platforms do they support?

FundedX supports MT4, MT5, and their own platform. FunderPro supports MT5 and cTrader (no MT4). The choice matters if you have an existing MT4 EA portfolio — FundedX is the option that keeps that portfolio working without conversion.

For cTrader users, FunderPro is the only one of the two with native cTrader support. cAlgo cBots run natively under FunderPro’s broker setup.

VPS choice for each firm

FundedX brokers vary by region — some route through LD4, some through NY4. Confirm with FundedX support before choosing a VPS location. As a default, LD4 covers the majority of FundedX bridges.

FunderPro brokers route through LD4 (Hantec Markets, Liquidity Connect). A PropVPS London instance reaches FunderPro’s broker bridges in under 1ms. For both firms a dedicated IPv4 is required — PropVPS provides this by default.
